Tadhg McNealy – who joined Hausu as a graphic designer, visual artist and photographer having worked with bands such as O Emperor – recently unearthed a years-old project which never saw release; the minimal, ambient EP Third Person. His artist’s practice tends towards brutalism and architectural-inspired minimalism, and the same is clear in his work as a musician; Third Person takes inspiration from the careful, delicate arrangements of composers like J Colleran and Nils Frahm, the shoegaze fuzz of Low and My Bloody Valentine, and the industrial, urban atmospherics of Burial, King Krule and Mount Kimbie, to create a soundtrack to city isolation.
Third Person releases early 2018.
